BONEY, John L., a Representative from Luzerne County; born in Plymouth, Luzerne County, Pa., June 17, 1905; graduated, St. Vincent’s High School; graduated, East Stroudsburg State Normal School (now East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania); B.A., Susquehanna University; attended, The Pennsylvania State (University) College; coal miner; teacher; school principal; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1938, 1940 and 1944; appointed, Joint State Government Commission Sub-Committee on Strip Mining (1945-1946); unsuccessful campaign for reelection the House (1942, 1946); died, November 12, 1981 in Plymouth, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Vincent DePaul Cemetery, Larksville, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
