BLOOM, Louis Arthur, a Representative from Delaware County; born, August 10, 1900 in Kiev, Russia (now Ukraine); graduated, Chester High School, 1918; graduated, Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, 1922; graduated, University of Pennsylvania Law School, 1925; attorney-at-law; Assistant District Attorney, Delaware County (16 years); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1947, 1949 and 1951 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1953 term; elected, treasurer, city of Chester; elected, solicitor, city of Chester; elected, judge, Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas, Delaware County (1965-1975); died, December 18, 1988 in Lansdowne, Delaware County, Pennsylvania; interred, Ohev Shalom Cemetery, Brookhaven, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
