BERNHARD, Frank, a Representative from Carbon County; born April 14, 1885 in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County, Pa.; graduated, Soldiers’ Orphans’ Industrial Home at Scotland, Franklin County; locomotive engineer, Central Railroad of New Jersey; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1933 term and served 2 consecutive terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1936); died, October 5, 1977; interred, Evergreen Cemetery, Jim Thorpe, Carbon County, Pennsylvania.
