BAUMUNK, Walter, a Representative from Sullivan County; born in Elkland Township, Sullivan County, Pa., August 17, 1885; lumberman; farmer; elected, commissioner, Sullivan County (1935-1943); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1945 term and served 4 more consecutive terms; appointed, Joint Legislative Committee on Juvenile Delinquency and Child Welfare (1947-1948); not a candidate for reelection to the House in 1954 General election; died, March 25, 1961 in Forksville, Sullivan County, Pennsylvania; interred, Fairmount Cemetery, Forksville, Sullivan County, Pennsylvania.
