BAUGHER, George Luther, a Representative from Adams County; born in Aspers, Adams County, Pa., August 31, 1900; attended, Gettysburg Academy; served, Company K, 47th Infantry, 4th Division, United States Army (1917-1919); nurseryman; fruit grower; farmer; elected to the House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1940; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1942); died, January 28, 1993 in Aspers, Adams County, Pennsylvania; interred at Bendersville Cemetery, Bendersville, Adams County, Pennsylvania.
