BARDES, Paul Metzner, a Representative from Allegheny County; born, June 10, 1899 in Wilkinsburg, Allegheny County, Pa.; graduated, Wilkinsburg High School; attended, Westminster College; served, United States Navy (World War I); real estate and insurance broker; chiropractor; elected, justice of the peace (1934-1940); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1938; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1940); parole officer, District No. 2, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; died, November 30, 1963 in Oakmont, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Arlington County, Virginia.
