BALTHASER, Jacob Lanius, a Representative from Berks County; born, Berks County, Pa., November 29, 1887; B.E., Kutztown State Normal School (now Kutztown University of Pennsylvania), 1900; teacher (1900-1902); salesman, International Harvester Company (1903-1905); elected, council, Hamburg; elected, burgess, Hamburg; store owner; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1937 term (Sworn-In on December 1, 1936); reelected for the 1939 and 1941 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1943 term; died, September 26, 1958 in Hamburg, Berks County, Pennsylvania; interred, St. Johns Cemetery, Hamburg, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
