ZIEGLER, Nolan F., a Representative from Dauphin County; born in York, York County, Pa., July 4, 1903; graduated, Harrisburg Academy; graduated, Bucknell University; graduated, Dickinson College School of Law (now Penn State Dickinson Law); lieutenant commander, United States Naval Reserve (1943-1945, World War II); attorney-at-law; solicitor, Dauphin County Institution District; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1949 term; reelected to serve 3 consecutive terms thereafter; elected, mayor, Harrisburg (1956-1963); died while in office of mayor, March 7, 1963 in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg, Adams County, Pennsylvania.
