YETTER, Van D., Jr., a Representative from Monroe County; born in Smithfield Township, Monroe County, Pa., October 10, 1913; graduated, East Stroudsburg High School; operator, farm equipment and mobile home business (25 years); supervisor and secretary-treasurer, Smithfield Township (12 years); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1955 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1957 term; reelected to the House for the 1959 term and served 4 consecutive terms thereafter; not a candidate for reelection to the House in the 1966 General election; died, June 29, 1972 in Marshall’s Creek, Monroe County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Marshalls Creek, Monroe County, Pennsylvania.
