WILLIAMS, Alan Dewey, Jr., a Representative from Bucks County; born, February 16, 1926 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa.; graduated, Upper Darby High School; B.S., Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania; attended, University of Oslo, Norway; LL.B., University of Pennsylvania Law School; Military Police, United States Army (1945-1947); attorney; Assistant District Attorney, Bucks County (1958); instructor, Delaware Valley College; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1959 term and served 3 consecutive terms thereafter; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1966); unsuccessful campaign, United States Congress (1966; as a Democrat, 1972); died, June 16, 2005 in Doylestown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
