WHITENIGHT, Donald E., a Representative from Montour County; born in Bloomsburg, Columbia County, Pa., February 10, 1919; graduated, Bloomsburg High School; attended, Pennsylvania State (University) College; operator, farm equipment business; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1953 and 1955 terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1956, 1958); reelected to the House in a Special Election, May 21, 1957 to serve the remaining 1957 term; Sworn-In, June 10, 1957 and served 1 term; not a candidiate for reelection to the House (1958); died, November 3, 1972 in Danville, Montour County, Pennsylvania; interred, Elan Memorial Cemetery, Lime Ridge, Columbia County, Pennsylvania.
