WESCOTT, Harold G., a Representative from Susquehanna County; born in Uniondale, Susquehanna County, Pa., July 14, 1904; graduated, Harford Vocational High School; automobile dealer; member, Susquehanna County Republican Committee; member, State Republican Committee; school director, Susquehanna County; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1945 term and served 8 more consecutive terms; appointed, Local Government Commission (1951-1962; chair, 1957-1962); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1962); died, March 5, 2002 in Garden City Beach, Horry County, South Carolina; interred, Clifford Cemetery, Clifford, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania.
