VERONA, Gus Paul, a Representative from Northampton County; born, August 8, 1910; graduated, Pen Argyl High School; completed correspondence course, I.C.C; attended, Muhlenberg College; contractor; member, Democratic State Committee; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1959 term and served 2 consecutive terms thereafter; resigned from the House, December 2, 1963; elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (November 6, 1963-1964); died while in office of the Senate, March 6, 1964 in West Bangor, Northampton County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Elizabeth’s Cemetery, Pen Argyl, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.
