United States Army (World War I); freight conductor, Reading Railroad Company (35 years); leader, 45th Ward Democratic Committee (1938-1963); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1949 term and served 7 consecutive terms thereafter; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1965 term; died, March 22, 1968 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne, Bucks County, Pennsylvaina.
