STRAUSSER, Albert E., a Representative from Columbia County; born, April 28, 1904 in Mt. Carmel, Northumberland County, Pa.; graduated, Mt. Carmel High School; attended, Bucknell University; attended, Gettysburg College; lieutenant, company commander, Company A, 117 Naval Construction Battalion and Operations Officer, 39th Naval Construction Regiment in Saipan, United States Navy (1943-1951, World War II); officer, Pennsylvania State Police; engineer, Pennsylvania Bureau of Engineering and Construction; owner, Strausser Construction; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1953 term and served 4 consecutive terms thereafter; not a candidate for reelection to the House in the 1962 General election; died, September 16, 1967 in Danville, Montour County, Pennsylvania; interred, Pine Grove Cemetery, Berwick, Columbia County, Pennsylvania.
