SPRAY, Lester Ellsworth, a Representative from Allegheny County; born, June 1, 1888 in Springdale, Leavenworth County, Ks.; graduated, Lawrence High School, 1905; A.B., Kansas University, 1909; E.E., University of Wisconsin, 1912; employed, signal departments, Santa Fe Railway and Kansas City Terminal Railway; employed, engineering and patent departments, Union Switch & Signal Division, Westinghouse Air Brake Company (35 years); appointed, judge of elections, Allegheny County (1954-1955); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1956; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1958); died, December 5, 1978 in Xenia, Greene County, Ohio; interred, Oak Hill Cemetery, Lawrence, Douglas County, Kansas.
