SPENCER, Henry Clay, a Representative from Lackawanna County; born in Greenfield Township, Lackawanna County, Pa., February 21, 1901; graduated, Greenfield Township High School; farmer; insurance salesman; realtor; elected, board, Greenfield Township School District (25 years); member, Lackawanna County Board of School Directors (14 years); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1949 term; reelected to serve 3 consecutive terms thereafter; died while in office, November 3, 1955 in Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania; interred, Willow View Cemetery, Clifford Township, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania.
