SKALE, Joseph, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, August 27, 1907 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; graduated, South Philadelphia High School; LL.B, Temple University Law School; attorney; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1937 term (Sworn-In on December 1, 1936); reelected and served 4 consecutive terms thereafter; appointed, Joint State Government Commission Sub-Committee on revision of the Penal Code (1945-1946); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House to the 1947 term; Special Assistant Attorney General, Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General (1955-1963); elected, alternate delegate, Democratic National Convention (1956, 1960); reelected to the House for the 1965 term; died while in office, June 15, 1966, in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Mount Sharon Cemetery, Springfield, Delaware County, Pennsyvania.
