ROYER, Baker, a Representative from Lancaster County; born in Ephrata, Lancaster County, Pa., January 9, 1894; graduated, Ephrata High School; graduated, Franklin and Marshall Academy, 1911; graduated, Franklin and Marshall College, 1915; B.A., The Pennsylvania State (University) College, 1916; graduated, University of Pennsylvania, 1917; served, United States Army (1917-1919, World War I); director, Farmers National Bank; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1935 term and served 15 consecutive terms thereafter; appointed, Joint State Government Commission Sub-Committee on State-Local Highway Financing (1945-1946); appointed, Joint State Government Commission (1947-1960, 1963-1966; chair, 1949-1960, 1963-1966); not a candidate for reelection to the House in the 1966 General election; died, March 23, 1975 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
