PARLANTE, Alfonso, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born in Italy, September 22, 1897; coal miner; general foreman, United States Federal Housing Commission (1938-1943); die setter, United States Mint, Department of Treasury, Philadelphia (1943-1947); state inheritance tax appraiser; member, 1st Ward Democratic Committee; member, State Democratic committee; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1953 term; reelected to the House for the 1959, 1961, 1963 and 1965 terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1955 term; died while in office, June 16, 1966 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
