LEISEY, Amos Martin, a Representative from Chester County; born in Blainsport, Lancaster County, Pa., September 17, 1887; agent-telegrapher, Reading Company (1904-1953); insurance agent; postmaster, United States Post Office, Suplee, Pa. (1913-1934); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1937 term (Sworn-In on December 1, 1936) and served 9 terms thereafter; appointed, Joint State Government Commission Sub-Committee on Fish and Game Commissions (1945-1946); appointed, Joint Legislative Committee on Mental Health Laws (1947-1948); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1956); died in August of 1983 in Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church Cemetery, Honey Brook, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
