KUBACKI, John Chandler, a Representative from Berks County; born in Reading, Berks County, Pa., June 6, 1912; graduated, Reading High School; graduated, Bucknell University, 1934; attended, Dickinson College School of Law (now Penn State Dickinson Law); served, "U.S.S. Hank" (1944), United States Navy (1942-1945, World War II); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1951, 1953 and 1955 terms; resigned from the House, December 31, 1955; elected, city council, Reading (1956-1958); elected, mayor, Reading (1959-1962); died, November 22, 1988 in Reading, Berks County, Pennsylvania; interred, Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
