KORNS, William R., a Representative from Somerset County; born in Somerset Township, Somerset County, Pa., July 9, 1915; graduated, Somerset County Public Schools; graduated, University of Pittsburgh, Johnstown; graduated, University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, 1939; veterinarian; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1957 term and reelected to serve the 1959, 1961 and 1963 terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1964); employed, Department of Meat and Hygiene, Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture; elected, council, Somerset Borough (1987); died, July 13, 1997, Somerset Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania; interred, Beam German Reformed Church Cemetery, Jennerstown, Somerset County, Pennsylvania.
