KOOKER, Margarette Fraley Sparver, a Representative from Bucks County; born in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pa., April 10, 1896; graduated, Harrisburg High School, 1914; stenographer, general manager's department, Bethlehem Steel Company; director, American Red Cross; proprietor, buyer and seller, Kooker Furniture Store; member, Quakertown Republican Committee (1947-1951); member, Bucks County GOP Executive Committee; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1955 term and served 5 consecutive terms thereafter; gubernatorial appointee, state delegate, White House Conference on Aging (1961); not a candidate for reelection to the House (1966); died, March 22, 1990 in Quakertown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania; interred, Union Cemetery, Quakertown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
