Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, Senior Executive Program in State Government, 1999; University of Pennsylvania, Fels Center of Government, Leadership for State Government, 2000; attended, Antioch Law School; public school teacher, Philadelphia; manager, Philadelphia Parking Authority; certified bail commissioner, Pennsylvania Minor Judiciary; leader, 6th Ward Democratic Committee; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1995 term; reelected to serve 4 consecutive terms thereafter; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (2004, 2020); unsuccessful campaign, judge, Philadelphia Traffic Court (2011).
