JUMP, James J., a Representative from Luzerne County; born in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pa., May 9, 1900; elected, registrar of vital statistics, Luzerne County; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1947 term and served 6 consecutive terms thereafter; appointed, Joint Committee to Investigate the Knox Mine Disaster (1959); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1960); city sidewalk inspector, Wilkes-Barre (1961-1963); witness clerk, Luzerne County Court of Pleas (1964-1965); died, January 15, 1965 in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania; interred, St. Mary's Church Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
