JOHNSTON, William P. H., a Representative from Allegheny County; born, September 15, 1893 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pa.; graduated, Peabody High School; automobile dealer; instructor, University of Pittsburgh; owner and director, Rosedale Technical Institute; elected, delegate, Republican National Convention (1940); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1946 and again in 1956; unsuccessful campaigns for election to the House (1942, 1944, 1948, 1950, 1952, 1958, 1960, 1962, 1964); died, June 7, 1964 in Venango County, Pennsylvania; interred, Sunset Memorial Cemetery (now Riverview Memorial Park Cemetery), Penn Hills, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
