IDE, Joseph Abram, a Representative from Northampton County; born in Tunkhannock, Wyoming County, Pa., September 30, 1890; attended, Easton High School; chair, Civilian Defense of Easton (World War II); construction foreman; unsuccessful campaigns, treasurer (1942) and controller (1954), Northampton County; president, Kendall-Ewan Motor Company (30 years); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1952 and 1956; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1954); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1958); died, July 3, 1970; interred, Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock, Wyoming County, Pennsylvania.
