HOUK, Clyde B., a Representative from Lawrence County; born, December 16, 1890 in Shenango Township, Lawrence County, Pa.; attended, Grove City College; teacher, Shenango Township schools; foreman, Ellwood Works, U.S. Steel Corporation; elected, council, Ellwood City (1927-1931); elected, burgess, Ellwood City (1941-1953); chairman, Civil Defense Board, Lawrence County (1942); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1954; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1956); treasurer, CHARGE Incorporated; died, March 31, 1969 in Ellwood City, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania; interred, Slippery Rock Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Ellwood City, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.
