HAUDENSHIELD, John R., a Representative from Allegheny County; born, Scott Township, Allegheny County, Pa. on September 10, 1888; graduated, Carnegie High School; attended, University of Pittsburgh; director, Fidelity Building & Loan Association, Carnegie; secretary and director, Beaver Falls Building & Loan Association; secretary and director, Forbes Murray Building & Loan Association, Pittsburgh; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1938; reelected to the House in 1942, 1944, 1946, 1948, 1950, 1952, 1954, 1956, and 1958; appointed, Joint Legislative Historical Committee (1947-1948); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1940); died while in office, July 26, 1959 in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania; interred, Chartiers Cemetery, Carnegie, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
