FOSTER, John Hawley, a Representative from Delaware County; born in Haverford, Delaware County, Pa., December 21, 1909; attended, Episcopal Academy; attended, Haverford School; studied commercial law, Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania; captain, Air Corps, United States Army (1942-1945, World War II); vice president and general manager, Diamond Glass Company; elected, commissioner, 4th Ward, Radnor Township (1953-1964); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1955 and 1957 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1959 term; died, July 1, 1984 in Bryn Mawr, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
