FLOYD, Samuel, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born in Leesburg, Lee County, Ga., December 15, 1916; attended, Piney Grove public schools; attended, Temple High School; graduated, painting and decorating, Bok Vocational School; served, United States Army (1943-1945, World War II); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1949 term; reelected to the House for the 1953, 1955, 1957 and 1959 terms;  unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1951 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1961 term; died, February 26, 2006; interred, Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania.
