DENGLER, Clyde Russell, a Representative from Delaware County; born in Fleetwood, Berks County, Pa., May 10, 1899; graduated, Fleetwood public schools; B.S., University of Pennsylvania; M.A., University of Pennsylvania; Mus.D., Philadelphia Conservatory; served, United States Army (World War I); chair, music department, Upper Darby School District; conductor; professional singer; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1957 term and served 4 consecutive terms thereafter; elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1969-1974); died, August 15, 1992 in Broomall, Delaware County, Pennsylvania.
