DEMPSEY, Thomas W., a Representative from Lycoming County; born in Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pa., January 23, 1931; graduated, Williamsport Area High School, 1948; attended, Lycoming College; elected, prothonotary, Lycoming County (1980-1987); member, Republican Club of Williamsport; elected as a Republican for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in a Special Election, November 3, 1987; Sworn-In, November 17, 1987 to serve the remaining 1987 term; reelected to serve 6 more consecutive terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (2000).
