BONNER, John F., a Representative from Carbon County; born July 22, 1911 in Summit Hill, Carbon County, Pa.; graduated, Summit Hill High School, 1929; coal miner, Lehigh Navigation Coal Company; chief of police, Summit Hill (4 years); owner and operator, Park Hotel, Summit Hill (1946-1964); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives to the 1955 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House in the 1956 General election; reelected to the House for the 1959 term and served 3 consecutive terms thereafter; died while in office, February 27, 1966 in Hazleton, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
