BANKER, Maurice L., a Representative from Huntingdon County; born, Derry, Westmoreland County, Pa., on January 28, 1905; graduated, Juniata College, 1924; graduated, Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science, 1926; proprietor, pharmacy (1929-1940); managing partner, Lewistown Lime Company; operator, “Blue Diamond” Hunting, Fishing, and Recreational Camp; operator, Banker’s Sand Industries; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1950; served 3 consecutive terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1956); died, December 15, 1968 in Hollidaysburg, Blair County, Pennsylvania; interred, Riverview Cemetery, Huntingdon, Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania.
