DURKEE, Daniel, a Representative from York County; born, August 27, 1791 in Royalton, Windsor County, Vt.; lawyer (1818-1854); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1832-1833 term; appointed, judge, 19th Judicial District, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (1833-1846, 1849-1851; president judge 1835-1846, 1849-1851); died, November 23, 1854 in York, York County, Pennsylvania; interred, First Presbyterian Churchyard, York, York County, Pennsylvania.
