COOPER, Stephen Thomas, a Representatives from York County; born, August 29, 1777 in Fawn Township, York County, Pa.; farmer; elected, auditor, York County (1814); elected, commissioner, York County (1819-1822); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1826-1827, 1827-1828 and 1828-1829 terms; died, April 5, 1855 in Peach Bottom Township, York County, Pennsylvania; interred, Coopers Cemetery, Peach Bottom Township, York County, Pennsylvania.
