RANKIN, Moses, a Representative from York County; born, November 19, 1783 in York County, Pa.; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1810-1811 and 1811-1812 terms; reelected to the House as a Democrat for the 1817-1818 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1825); died, February 6, 1857 in Baltimore County, Maryland; interred, Chestnut Grove Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Phoenix, Baltimore County, Pennsylvania.
