MANTZ, Carl W., a Representative from Lehigh and Berks Counties; born in Elizabeth, Union County, NJ; graduated, Kutztown Area High School, 1956; A.B., English, Franklin & Marshall College, 1960; M.B.A., economics/finance, Lehigh University, 1973; attended Dickinson School of Law (now Penn State Dickinson Law); attended, University of Pennsylvania; attended, University of Cambridge; J.D., University of Baltimore, 1980; lieutenant colonel, United States Army; Assistant District Attorney and conflict council, Berks County; supervisor, labor relations specialist, United States Army; elected, council, Kutztown Borough; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 2007 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 2009 term.
