VALENTINE, Bond, a Representative from Centre and Clearfield Counties; born, November 20, 1797 in Downingtown, Chester County, Pa.; iron master; owner, Dunlap Iron Furnace (1815-1820); lawyer (1821-1842); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1830-1831, 1831-1832 and 1832-1833 terms; engaged, real estate; Quaker minister (1842-1862); died, October 15, 1862 in Bellefonte, Centre County, Pennsylvania; interred, Friends Burial Ground, Bellefonte, Centre County, Pennsylvania.
