IRVIN, John, a Representative from Centre and Clearfield Counties; born, June 2, 1796 in Huntingdon County (now Centre County), Pa.; miller; engaged, lumber business; coal, grain and lumber merchant; distiller; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1831-1832 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1832-1833 term; died, October 21, 1848 in Curwensville, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania; interred, Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania.
