MOORE, Robert, a Representative from Beaver County; born, March 30, 1778 in Washington County, Pa.; served, Pennsylvania Militia (War of 1812); attended, Washington College (now Washington & Jefferson College); lawyer (1802-1831); elected, treasurer, Beaver County (1805-1811); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Senate (1811); unsuccessful campaign, United States Congress (1812, 1813, 1820, 1824); elected, United States Congress (1817-1821); elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1824-1828); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1829-1830 term; died, January 14, 1831 in Beaver, Beaver County, Pennsylvania; interred, Beaver Cemetery and Mausoleum, Beaver, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.
