LAWRENCE, Samuel, a Representative from Beaver County; born, circa 1768 in Adams County, Pa.; elected, chairman, Beaver borough (1804); elected, clerk, Beaver borough (1805); elected, council, Beaver borough (1806); elected, commissioner, Beaver County (1807-1808); elected, auditor, Beaver borough (1808); elected, assessor, Beaver borough (1809); elected, prothonotary, Beaver County (1809-1815); cashier, Bank of Beaver (1814); secretary, Beaver Academy (1815-1827); elected, burgess, Beaver borough (1817-1822); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1820, 1821); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1822-1823, 1823-1824 and 1824-1825 terms; died, January of 1827 in South Beaver Township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania; interred, Clark Park Cemetery, Beaver, Beaver County, Pennsylvania.
