LEWIS, Mordecai, a Representative from Berks and Schuylkill Counties; born, 1772 in Willistown, Chester County, Pa.; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1827-1828 term; manager, Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia (1834-1840); died, February 19, 1845 in Morgantown, Berks County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Thomas Episcopal Church Cemetery; Morgantown, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
