EVERHART, James, a Representative from Berks and Schuylkill Counties; born, February 24, 1789 in Chester County, Pa.; served, Pennsylvania Militia (War of 1812); merchant; engaged, iron business; farmer; proprietor, tannery and sawmill; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1823-1824, 1824-1825 and 1825-1826 terms; died, December 26, 1863 in Robeson Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Peter's United Church of Christ Cemetery, Knauertown, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
