AUDENREID, William, a Representative from Berks and Schuylkill Counties; born, March 14, 1793 in Kutztown, Berks County, Pa.; lieutenant colonel, 30th Regiment, 2nd Brigade, 6th Division, Pennsylvania Militia (1821); farmer; engaged, real estate; proprietor, lumber mill; appointed, justice of the peace (1816-1821); elected, auditor, Schuylkill County (1819); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1820, 1821); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1822-1823 and 1823-1824 terms; elected, Pennsylvania State Senate (1824-1828); unsuccessful campaign, United States Congress (1832); elected, delegate, Democratic State Convention (1836); died, December 2, 1850 in Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Silver Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
