Thomas Huston’s Company, 2nd Regiment, Second Brigade, Pennsylvania Militia (1814, War 1812); captain, Reading City Troop, Pennsylvania Militia; unsuccessful campaign, sheriff, Berks County (1811); elected, auditor, Berks County (1813); elected, auditor, Berks and Schuylkill Counties (1814); elected, commissioner, Berks County (1814-1817); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1821-1822, 1822-1823 and 1823-1824 terms; elected, United States Congress (1825-1829); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to Congress (1828); appointed, associate judge, Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas, Berks County (1839-1842); farmer; died, May 30, 1858 in Spring Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania; interred, St. John’s Church Cemetery, Sinking Springs, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
