RHEINER, William, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, circa 1804 in Pennsylvania; lieutenant colonel, 47th Regiment, Pennsylvania Militia; farmer; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1836-1837 term; elected, tax collector, Penn Township, Philadelphia County (1837, 1841); elected, school director, Penn Township (1844); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1850); sewing machine operator; tipstaff, Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas, Philadelphia County; died, May 23, 1860 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
