VANSANT, Franklin, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, 1803 in Pennsylvania; colonel, 2nd Brigade, Pennsylvania Militia; farmer; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1830-1831 and 1831-1832 terms; elected, delegate, Democratic State Convention (1844); elected, National Democratic Convention (1860); died, July 20, 1871 in Hot Springs, Bath County, Virginia; interred, Saint James Episcopal Church Cemetery, Boydton, Mecklenburg County, Virginia.
